Poetry By Anthony Russomanno

Used To Be

I was once the Ocean, but now

I am only the sand.

I was once the Wind, but now

just a wisp of a cloud.

I was once a great Mountain

but now only the dust at its feet.

I was once a great Oak Tree

but now I am just a seed.
